Weight around 72 kg+

My weight has gone down quite a bit because I had diarrhoea last night after some seafood. I don't really enjoy the company with critical reviews even though the food was first class. Such is the company of toxic people where I intend to have less communication. It certainly brings the mood down instead of being happy eating sumptuous seafood. They are just obnoxious, thanks to cynical thoughts and hours of watching wars, Rohingya migrants, terrorist attacks, floods in 1oo years which was the worst ever and major landslides at Pearl Hill, Tanjung Bungah, etc on Astro.

Weight went up to 73kg again!

I was doing quite well, eating less than usual until my spouse bought me more food to chase the blues away. Eventually, my weight went up to 73 kg and this is not good. I have to reduce even further and bring down my weight for longevity and healthier lifestyle. As blogging here, I have more administrative work to complete like opening up letters, keying purchase receive for tax invoices, not counting the daily quotations and printing of inquiries from potential clients. Then, there is also the weekly travels to KL for business and to take care of the admin side of business all alone. I'm glad to be competent enough to do everything myself and let you sit back watch me work and start to envy. You know who you are!

Need Physiotherapy on my Right Arm

Tomorrow is my appointment for a physiotheraphy on my right arm due to lifting heaby back pack of my spouse from reaching behind the car, whenever we travel to e KL and it was rather frequent. I am going to claim from insurance and went for x-ray already. No surgery is required but need to go for many rounds of physiotherapy. In fact, I feel more pain than before attending the bad treatment. And the first treatment cost RM 90 for 45 minutes which was a waste of time. It will take months for the tendinitis to heal and this will incur more cost, where the most the insurance can pay for me is RM 3k!

Now 72 kg

I weighed myself again and this time it is exactly at 72kg. Went down a further 1 kg or so. Time to celebrate my desire to lose weight for a healthier BMI. As I hate exercise, and need to wash hair and all that, I just eat less and it was effective. Sure, the hunger pangs kick in, but I can tolerate it and it is no big deal. Eat to survive and not survive to eat. Gluttony is a sin, and don't gorge down or wallop on good food especially during buffets. We also cancelled the Mooncake Festival dinner at a hotel in KL due to poor response and also we had to attend to business and work. So, we saved up $1,500 on sponsorship for a table of 10 pax.

Ate Less Now

I am trying to eat half of what I eat, or less than the normal. But sometimes the hunger pangs kick in and you have to snack in between like taking some fruits or mini Magnum ice-cream. So far, it works and I shall keep eating less, as advised by dad in his wisdom to educate us for a healthier lifestyle. Food is good and chases the blues away, but you still need to eat to survive and not survive to eat. Also eat in moderation especially in buffets, where we tend to gorge the most expensive ones. I shall be returning back to Penang today, in the evening after visiting a client for changes to the quotation.

My weight seems to hover around 73 - 74 kg

I have lost about 10kg and now it seems to stay around 73-74kg and not going down further. By the way, I am having some pain in my right arm due to lifting my colleague's heavy backpack in the car using the right side as a passenger in the front seat. I have pain sleeping on the right side of the bed but too busy to see a doctor on this and go for physiotherapy. So I do light exercises at home with my right arm, so that I won't have frozen shoulder. The last time it was on the left side of my arm and it had healed with insurance payout for hospital fees.

My weight has gone down

My weight has gone down further. And I am happy about it. Now I can put on old clothes when I was slimmer. Don't survive to eat, but eat to survive. Gluttony is a sin. I used to eat a lot and make my money's worth during buffets; but not anymore. Too much food will lead to non-communicable diseases like diabetes, heart attacks, strokes, etc. On a happy note, my second sister will get her PhD soon, with minor revisions to her thesis to be done. She is now in Penang to take care of dad who suffered 2 mild heart attacks in a month! And he is 80 this year! I just pray for his longevity.

Penang has the Best Food

We Penangites are lucky to have a wide variety of food - from hawker street foods to fine dining in a posh hotel and Michelin star restaurants offering the best delicacies. There is a repertoire of food to cater to different budgets so that it won't burnt a hole in your wallet. Penang has some of the most affordable food in Malaysia and Asia. It is famous for its 'laksa' - a fish and salad soup with piquant taste. It also has the ubiquitous 'nasi lemak' this a a favourite amongst the locals, since it is also 'halal' or kosher. I guess, being a born Penangite, I am lucky to live here and spoilt for choice.

Food is Comforting

When you are stressed out, just chase the blues away by eating. But don't eat too much and put on weight. This is no good and will increase your BMI to show whether you are overweight or obese or severely obese. On National day, fallin on 31st August 2017, Malaysia celebrated its 60th National Day in Kuala Lumpur and I took the opportunity to shop for cosmetics, mainly anti-aging serum which got me 3 free vouchers of RM 20, totalling RM 60 worth of vouchers that is valid for 3 months in AEON. I still haven't decided what to buy, but when the time comes, the vouchers will come in handy. For every RM 100 that you spend on that day, you will get RM 20 worth of voucher. My expenditure was RM 325 which will last me more than 1 year.

I have lost 5kg

I am eating very much less now, about 50% full and have successfully lost 5 kg with some exercise. I am happy with my progress but don't starve myself for this purpose of losing weight. I still take my supplements, vitamins and fruit juice at times. I used to earn $5 per kg I lost last time, but that is so child-like. Now I will take the initiative to lose more weight by avoiding buffets and functions. Neither do I feel isolated as I enjoy my own company and the computer. Listening to light music also is balm to the soul. As long as I have my computer, I am occupied and happy.

Trying Hard to Lose Weight

I had diarhoea since yesterday and bought some pills to prevent the purge in a nearby pharmacy. This morning, I had diarhoea again and took some salts to replenish the lost ones in my body. When I weigh myself, I lost about 1 kg. I am also eating half full for every meaL - lunch and dinner with a cup of milk for breakfast. At the same time, I also got approved in my article on travel and will have about 10 articles to write in a month. They have to be Copyscape passed and not copy outright from other websites. This will surely keep me busy the whole day on top of my full time work in a home office. But at the same time, I take lots of naps in between work and a break during lunch time.

Eating Half Full

Now I am eating half full instead of 100% full. A 103-year old woman shared her longevity: she eats only 50% full. My weight has gone down and I hope it will continue to fall so that I don't have to wear 3X or 2X clothes from Ms Read. Obesity is a disease itself. My partner tends to overbuy food for me, thinking he is doing me a favour. But now I tell him, I will throw away the excess food, especially fried food and such. Previously, I used to eat all so as not to waste food, but my waist suffers and my health is going south. Hence, it is better to waste than have a bigger waist. Just don't be a glutton as gluttony is a sin. I also try to avoid buffets where one tends to overeat.

Strive to be Happy

This world is full of trickery with conmen emailing me every single day, but thank goodness, all those emails go to my spam folder. In your quest to work, don't forget to strive to be happy by playing computer games for entertainment and keep the mind active. I used to play computer games and go to the games room to play arcade games after study to de-stress. Life in Singapore was very very stressful for me as it was a pressure cooker. But I stayed there for 12 long years before coming back to Penang to settle down and found myself a work at home job that I have been doing since 2004. I never looked back. Also, I have had experience working as a sales assistant in a carpet shop and furniture show house before. I was computer chatting too much and the bills came to RM 800 per month, and my parents thought it is better I work outside and not cough up so much expenses, even though the pay was very low with long working hours

Never Compare Yourself with Others

You will become Bitter when you compare yourself with others who are doing well and perhaps even wealthier. There will always be some people who are poorer than you and some who are richer. So, just be yourself and do your best. An idle mind is the devil's workshop; so keep busy doing positive things and think positive. Those who are bitter, jealous, angry, envious, etc will be sick and this negative mood will take a toll on their bodies. Stress is a cause of diseases and illnesses. Be happy, work hard and don't hope for others' wealth to be donated to you for nothing in return.

It is good to be lazy

Once in a while, it is good to be lazy and relax. Enjoy the sunshine and air outside. Play more games and keep the mind occupied. Life is not about working all the time or chasing the monetary dreams. And you don't need people to be happy. You can keep yourself happy by going for spas, movies, etc. Friends come and go. Nothing is permanent except God. Instead, don't let friends make use of you to enrich themselves by selling phoney banned kangen alkaline water, etc. They themselves have been conned into buying this expensive direct selling product and are looking for naive suckers like you to buy into their story. Lastly, money is the root of all evil! People who love money more than friendship will lose the friendship anyway. Their true selves will eventually show.
